Method of Namkaran Sanskar:

Muhurat determination: An auspicious time is selected for Namkaran Sanskar. It is usually performed on the 11th, 12th, or 13th day of the baby's birth.

Puja-archana: Puja-archana is performed by the family pandit or purohit. It includes Ganesh Puja, Navgraha Puja, and Kuldevta Puja.

Naming Process: The Pandit or a senior member of the family whispers the name of the baby three times in his ear. After this, the same name is announced publicly.

Blessings: The baby is blessed by all the family members and the people present. For this, Akshat (rice) and Kumkum are applied on the head of the baby.

Food and Prasad: After the completion of the puja, Prasad is distributed and the people present are fed.
